Proven on Site at Sylvia Park, Auckland

The Sylvia Park project is one of New Zealand's largest shopping and entertainment centres positioned near Mount Wellington in the south-eastern suburbs of Auckland.

This multimillion dollar development built by Multiplex Construction NZ Ltd includes 10 Hoyts cinemas, 3 supermarkets, over 200 specialty shops and car parking for 3,500 cars.

In addition to the initial construction there are commercial offices and residential apartments planned for the site in the near future.

APL Kwikform's Auckland branch has extensive experience in the supply of falsework and was able to demonstrate that it had the capacity to supply high quality equipment, a skilled workforce, the technical support required and the ability to meet the tight construction programme.

As a result APL Kwikform were selected by the concrete contractor, Marin Construction, to supply and install falsework and access platforms for the project.

The contract ran over an 18 month period and involved over 20,000 man hours erecting and dismantling in excess of 3200 shoring frames, 8000 jacks, 2000 bearers and other accessories.
